Mr Andrew Lowry

Dear Uncle
with great pleasure I sit down
to write to you. We are pretty
well and hope you are enjoying
the same blessing. Grandfather
and Grandmother is quite
smart now. Grandfather had a
paralytic stoke this summer.
Uncle Gideon Cranston & Aunt
Jane Knox are all well. We live
about a quarter of a mile from Aunt
Ann Walker. She is quite smart
for her age. Our harvest was
very good this summer. Pa is
busy ploughing now. He moved
and fixed his farms over this
summer. There is just two
girls of us Ellen Ann and I. We
have no brothers. I wish you
could come out to Grandfathers
and Grandmothers golden wedding
They will be 50 years married
on the 22nd of November. I send you
one of Grandfather and Grandmother's
pictures and they look for one in
return. We will send ours after
a while. I have been going to
write this long time but never
got started till now. We all
send our love to your all. I will
draw my letter to a close hoping
to hear from you soon. good Bye [goodbye?]
Your niece
Maggie J. Lowry
