| Transcript | 21A Baltimore April 16th 1821 Mr Robert Love Your favour of I suppose 13th Inst [Instant?] was received about half an hour ago. I perceive you have been straightened in even finding time to furnish me with this list. I would be extremely sorry you should be subjected to any censure for your attention to my interests and request you will do anything I may want in such a manner as to leave no room for suspicion from any quarter. I wrote you last week Dated 11th perhaps Henry may have s[?]ted your letter if he entertained any suspicions you can inform me whether you have received my last or not. I am happy to hear that all is quiet [?] to SHE= my mind has suffered many things in relation to her, I feel inclined to go home but I fear she would think hard of it even if I proposed returning in the fall. I have been lying on the slack rope here long enough no situation that would be a sufficient inducement for me to remain here, and unless I can find one of this stamp, I will much rather decline engaging in a place, where no possible good beyond a small salary, can arise, There is a vessel now in New York bound for Belfast and back the ship John Dickinson if I go on I shall inform you that you may write to me in New York. You will excuse haste Mr Wm Tuffts is the Bearer and I had to hurry myself to write this two letters in time - 9 o'clock morning. Farewell my Dear Robert Geo Mahood Geo Mahood Balt [Baltimore?] April 16 1821 Envelope: Mr Robert Love fav= Wm Tuffts Esq. Petersburg |
