Dear Aunt
We have not received a letter from you in a long
time
We are all well and kept busy. Aunt Sarah was
visiting us last week. Uncle Sam seems to have very
good health this year
Willie Shanks is still repairing the boat and
has a very nice home.
Katie Patterson or Mrs [Shotliff?] has a step
daughter of five years to contend with
Aunt Nancy is happy now that Katie is married
Uncle Willie bought a home for them last year The
boys are all at school
Uncle Willie has been home all winter He makes
things so cheerful at night that we will miss him in
the spring when the boats start
How is Grandma's health is it improving?
Did you receive the 10œ pounds that Uncle Willie
sent?
Willie and Katie are attending High School, I do
not know what proffession [profession?] Willie will take
I think lawyer but he would like to be what his chums
is going to study for That is doctor
Maggie Shaw is going to be a teacher and Katie a
dressmaker or a milliner Remember me to Grandma
Give my love to all my cousins and there [their?] children
Keeping a share for yourself and Grandma
The rest send their kind love to all
Ma would like to hear from Eliza or Isabella
