Transcript | Chicago 3058 Main St March 30 1886 Dear Aunt Uncle Willie received your letter and we were glad to hear that Grandma is not any worse We are all well Uncle Sam is feeling better and thinks he will sail this summer They are getting the boat ready to start soon. Willie Shanks has been very busy this winter too much He says he will write to you He has deserted us this winter too much love in the cottage Sam Patterson is going with him this summer Katie styles herself Mrs [Shotliff?] and says they are all in good health Did you see Mrs John [Hatch?] over her passage home Mr Sam McDowell has gone to Belfast from here his address is 24 Shandon St off Antrim Road Belfast He will come out in May ma would like to hear about Mrs Taylor and Mrs Nesbitt and your to remember her to them Ma hopes you will be kind to Grandma since her days are so few, she would like to go and see her for the last time but it seems as if the chances are against her Give my kind love to Grandma and cousins and children Remember me as your Affectionate Niece Maggie Martin 3058 Main St |
