Dear Aunt
Uncle Willie received your letter and we were glad
to hear that Grandma is not any worse
We are all well Uncle Sam is feeling better and
thinks he will sail this summer
They are getting the boat ready to start soon.
Willie Shanks has been very busy this winter too much
He says he will write to you He has deserted us this
winter too much love in the cottage
Sam Patterson is going with him this summer
Katie styles herself Mrs [Shotliff?] and says
they are all in good health
Did you see Mrs John [Hatch?] over her passage home
Mr Sam McDowell has gone to Belfast from here his address
is 24 Shandon St
off Antrim Road
He will come out in May ma would like to hear about Mrs Taylor
and Mrs Nesbitt and your to remember her to them
Ma hopes you will be kind to Grandma since her days are
so few, she would like to go and see her for the last time
but it seems as if the chances are against her
Give my kind love to Grandma and cousins and children
Remember me as your
Affectionate Niece
Maggie Martin
