My dear Ned
What do you think of the enclosed?
I part with them with a good deal of regret
but I am, what we call here "an Indian Gifter"
that is, I expect twice as much in return.
Your own photo will be interesting to your family.
Susie's give to her from her old admirer.
I have been many times in Newry since I left
in '67. But I have never seen her since then.
I dreamed of you last night, and so it came to
me to send you the enclosed.
Your old friend
Isaac H. Mathers

Edward Wyly Esq.
Banbridge, Ireland.
