When Joe Gilkison went to Glasgow she was very angry at him she said he was no friend of hers now but Tomy [Tommy?] Smyth is her friend now she says he is a better boy than Joe I think Joe was two weeks their [there?] before he [Page 4] got into a place but he is in a place now & getting 7 1/2 d an hour so I think that is pretty good pay. I think I have no more to say as Uncle is going to write a piece with love from Lizzie & Aunt I remain Your affect. [affectionate?] friend Maggie McKeown |
