Transcript | Extract of a letter from a field officer at Boston, to his friend in the county of Louth, dated at Boston, Dec.11, 1774. "...There is now no arbiter left to decide the difference between England and America but the sword; that all America are in actual arms; they have turned out of office all the King's Judges, Officers, &c. &c. are all raising forces fast; have fortified the town of Worster; and have sent General Gage word, that if all the acts of parliament made against America since the year 1763, are not immediately repealed, they will declare war against England...." |
