Transcript | Letter to James Lewis Esq. Sovereign of Belfast from Dublin Castle : - Sir, I am commanded by my Lord Lieutenant to acquaint you that H.M.S. Drake of 20 guns commanded by Capt. Burdon and the sloop of war Wolf Capt. Gaborian are now in this port and purpose to sail directly from thence to Belfast and Newry in order to take under their convoy from thence to Spithead any linen ships etc., etc. |
