| Transcript | David Armstrong of Ballynahinch and Eleanor Baxter of Crossgar was Married by the Revd [Reverend?] James Birch of Drumarra on Friday the 4th of September 1795 Here was present Jane Baxter Mother to Ealenor Richard Baxter Brother to Ealenor Sarah Baxter Sister in law to do Jane Baxter sister to do John Armstrong Brother to David Samle [Samuel?] Hamilton son to Hugh Hamilton Esq of Mill Hill Elizabeth Armstrong sister to David [son?] Elizabeth Crozier of Shomore near Gilford ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Armstrong was Born Sunday 24th of July 1796 at 4 oclock in the Evening. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Francis Armstrong sunday the 17 of Sept [September?] 1797 at half after 4 evening ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jane Armstrong was Born seventh of June 1799 at 8 Oclock Evening --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elizabeth Armstrong was Born wednesday the third of December 1800 at six Oclock Evening --------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Armstrong was Born Tuesday sixth of July 1802 about 4 Oclock Morning --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eleanor Armstrong was Born Thursday the 11th of October 1804 about 9 0clock fore noon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Armstrong was Born on Tuesday the 23rd of May 1807 about 4 Oclock aftrenoon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Father of the forenamed children was Born 9th August 1768 the Mother of the forenamed was born 26th March 1774 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Armstrong departed this life on Friday 22nd October 1813 Minutes after 8 Oclock Morning --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The above Family took a last leave of Crossgar the Monday 4th, Sept 1815, the three boys on Sunday the 17th and all left Ballynahinch on Monday the 18th. Embarkd [embarked?]on board the Westpoint at Belfast on Wednesday the 20th and saild [sailed?] on the 21st for Newyork America. Got an account on the 27th of December of their arrival at Newyork on the 22nd of November. W J Armstrong received a letter from David on the 7th of Jany [January?] 1816 dated 27 Nov'[November?] 1815 saying they were all alive and well Another Letter from David in January to [W J J?] Armstrong A letter from Jane Armstrong to her Aunt Baxter dated the 5th of Jan'y [January?] received the 15th of Feb [February?] 1816 ( A letter Elizabeth to me of the 28th Feby [February?] and received on the 20th April 1816) A letter from James to his Uncle Richard dated from [Nor?]folk 20th May and received 9th July A letter from Mr Wm [William?] A to [?]ct A dated the 3d June and received 22d August 1818 giving an account of their arrival in [?] [?] [?] before. |
