She died in Evansville, Wisconsin, USA, December 2, 1897 - wife of James McCoy. To Miss Galligan We are met here today for the purpose of presenting a work box as a token of regard to you our beloved and affectionate school mistress. In doing so we wish to show our gratitude for your attention to us and the indefatigable pains you have taken to forward our interest. You have in many instances borne with our distress and stupidity. You have been both attentive and affectionate and willing to do all in your power to assist in our improvement. We therefore beg that you consider this Christmas box as a token of esteem and friendship from your affectionate pupils and that it will long remind you of our sincere wishes for your temporal and eternal welfare. |
