Transcript | [no envelope] [incomplete letter] Frendraught, Oct. 3, 1900 Dear friend Bella;- Just a line or two hurriedly to try to thank you for your beautiful present to me. It was indeed very kind of you to remember me, and much more than I deserved and I assure you I appreciate it all the more because it was unexpected. I wish I could thank you as you deserve, but I feel that I cannot, and you must forgive me for not being able.
