Transcript | 281 Regent Road Manchester Sep 4th/77 Dear Laurence and Mary Ann, I recived your Letter and we ware very glad to hear that you ware all well after the great turn out and we ware glad to heare that you did not loose much time in your woork. The papers gave a very Bad acount about it. Dear Laurence, We are all in prety good health at presant, thanks be to god. If I never witnesed a sason like this for Rains. It is Raining this 9 months without one week Drie. We thought when the harvest wood com it wood be Dry but the month of August we had not a Dry Day in it. The crops are comeplaitly spoiled. I am afraide we will have a hard winter in England. We are all Doing Prety well. We wood Do Beter onley for the weather. Fine weather is mor Suitable for Williams work. John is Doing well in his shop. The wether dose not inge [injure] his Busness. Dear Laurence, we ware very glad to hear that William is a good Boy and helps his Mother sow well and I hope he will not forget his granmother and Pray for her and i hope that Johney will Be a good Boy and Pray for his granney and when Thomas and Birnard groes up the[y] will be good Boys. When we Posted this Letter we Posted one to your uncle John and whither he Answers it or not we Canot tell.
