Transcript | 15 Dec. 1909 My dear Mother I am going through a pile of correspondence, and found the enclosed letter, which may interest you. Of course, I wrote I was not the man; that the Glynns were numerous in and about Gort; that once we had one or two not of the family in the House. I am still very busy, though the session is ended. The strike keeps me going, and some big questions that may result in my taking action to smash up interstate combines to monopolize trade in certain commodities. Abbie, Joan, Patrick and a maid have been here for three weeks, and may, if we get berths, return tomorrow. I can only go for a few nights, and then not home, as they shift to the seaside. Joan is looking well, but still on crutches. I am going to get her tested by a specialist tomorrow, at the suggestion of a friend of mine, Dr. Kenny. After having had her on crutches for months, she must be properly handled. I hope you are in the best of health and wishing you a merry Christmas, I am Your affectionate son P McM Glynn |
