Transcript | Hotel Windsor, Victoria Street, Westminster, S.W. 4 July 1916 My dear Joseph I wrote you only to let you know I was here, in case you were in London. I don't for a moment wish you to alter any of your arrangements. In fact; with official appointments, and, the to me distasteful eternal talks at large, I have practically no time even to meet my wife except at Breakfast. In a month every day is booked; so, unless I give up the official business, which I may, I cannot get over. Abbie is here also. I came on the mission against my grain, as, being immersed in affairs, it was scarcely a time for pointless discussions. However, the wish to see our mother decided the matter.
