My dear Joseph
I have just received a letter from Frank Glynn who says he is
not strong, and cannot work as he has been, and must try and get
into some pastoral work again. He wants the balance of what is left.
I am sending that to him by this post, being only £6 odd. I sent
him a cheque a few days ago for £4. His position however seems to
be a few pounds left. Whether he owes any money or not I cannot
say. I have written to him regularly about once a fortnight; doubtless
you will have heard from him direct. I hope he gets on to some
station and in particular at once. It is exceedingly difficult in a City
to try and personally ascertain what openings there may be.
At the moment I am writing suddenly as there may be a mail on
Monday. Frank's letters to me have been regular and one's assumption
is that he has been fairly right. The difficulty now is some weakness
of the lungs.
This is a puzzling place just at present. However, for the present
with best wishes etc.

Your affectionate brother
[P. McM. Glynn]
