Transcript | Morialta Chambers, Victoria Square, Adelaide. 3rd Der., 1923. My Dear Frank I was glad to receive your letter of the 25th November. I have not recently heard from your Father. It is well, however, that you are in the district and engaged at some local concern or pastoral work. You doubtless have written to your Father also. If he writes definitely that he desires you to take up some land, that is a comparatively small area which you will be able to work yourself, he will doubtless send on some funds for the purpose. I was in Melbourne about a fortnight ago, but you were doubtless away at the time. At the moment I have had a letter from Dymphna. She has had a fine time in England, has been right through England, stayed some time on the West Coast with Joan, and in her reference to such places as York, in particular the Yorkminster Cathedral, gives exactly the impression I had when I was blessed to be there in 1916. They are doubtless in France by this time and possibly Agnes with them and wall probably go on to Spain. She writes of the generosity of the higher class people in Dublin. Mr. Cosgrave with whom Joan had conversation seems to be a very gentlemanly man. Hoping you are in the best of health. I am, Your affectionate uncle [P. McM. Glynn] |
