8 Wellington Place Belfast Augusta 2d April 1853

My Dear Sir
Since posting a letter for you
this morning enclosing the Second of a Bill of Exchange
G. B. Cumming upon Brown Shiley & Co. in your favour for
œ823. [16/-?] Sterling which cost $4000. 00/100 - I have
purchased for you Fifteen shares of the Stock of the Bank
of Augusta at 110$ p [per?] share; which makes your number
now 120 shares.
I could find no Railroad stock at less than that price
and thought you would prefer the former. Our cotton
market is looking up in consequence of some advance in
Savannah.
very truly yours
R. Campbell
I have been expecting to hear from you the result of the
shipment of P. K. Hunter.
