Cumming upon Brown Shiley & Co. in your favour for œ823. [16/-?] Sterling which cost $4000. 00/100 - I have purchased for you Fifteen shares of the Stock of the Bank of Augusta at 110$ p [per?] share; which makes your number now 120 shares. I could find no Railroad stock at less than that price and thought you would prefer the former. Our cotton market is looking up in consequence of some advance in Savannah. very truly yours R.
