Transcript | ans [answered?] 12.9.68 [12 Sep 1868?] Clarksville 24 Aug 1868 My Dear Friend In writing you a few days ago to pay from the funds in your hands to each of my nieces Grace and Margaret M'Whinny [McWhinney?] 40œ Forty Pounds Sterling, I entirely failed to consider it possible that since the first of January you might have advanced them some part of the 20œ former allowance - My intention was to double that amount the present year, as I hope the figures in the estimate may have induced you to conclude - My intention was to add 20œ each to the allowances and I am sure that construction will be satisfactory to them on sight of this letter. Your attached friend at present in bed from [crysip-eley?] [in?] [by?] R. Campbell Wm. J. C. Allen Ulster Bank Belfast Ireland |
