As I have no claims on enough of it, nor any one else signed in presence of Adam Capper John Capper Lurgan 31 May 1851 Dear Joseph I received your favor of the 18 Apl [April?] on the 30th of same and disposed of its contents according to your decree. leaf before you have the % squared and a memorandum notice of the I.O.U. which till lately I had at hand, but which at the present I cannot find. I handed your paper to Mr McKeown and asked him for an % as you wished which I have waited for a month without receiving- I offered to assist him to make it out. But one thing I learned that the sum he named to you was it 59œ000[œ59] odds was intended to the Credit of your bank of the %- the said Mr McKeown wished to go to you for a position, but I advised him to keep to whatever he intended at first. The whole these form is to your Cr [credit?] - the said Mr McKeown later satisfied your statement was correct. Thanks to you for your attention to my letters. signed John Capper [_ ____?]I was keeping this open to see could I get Mr McKeown's % but am afraid of missing another week's mail as I may be from home tomorrow weekday.
