| Transcript | These are to Certify the Principal Officers and Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy that Mr. A.C. Dawson served as Midshipman & Mate on Board His Majesty's Ship Menai under my Command from the 3rd day of June 1824. to the 16th day of Oct. 1824. during which time he behaved himself with diligence Sobriety and attention, and was always obedient to Command. Given under my Hand on board the Menai at Halifax Harbour this 16th Oct. 1824 I have great pleasure in testifying to Mr. Dawson's uniform good conduct whilst under my command Captain Hon [Honourable?] M Stewart Captain |
