Dear Brother

The Riggers are Commenced Strip the "Lady" -
The Cargo will be all out tomorrow. I am going to take Salt
and passengers to New Orleans But it will be a fortnight I
think before the Lady is ready
I send the money to uncle to Moirow [tomorrow?]
This leaves me in good health thank God, hoping
this will find you all in good health
I turned out this morning at 6 o'clock and came down on
board and stoped [stopped?] to 8 I finds Mr. Mate [?] Coming
down at half past seven and the rest of the Boys Coming
between 7 and 8 - I told them they could not get down
before that time that they might stop ashore, Mr. Mate Begs
My pardon, and has other excuses But I told them to let me
find any of them Came at that time again
But I blame the mate for all
there is nothing perticular [particular?] to let you now
[know?], write and let me hear the nuse [news?].

I remain yours
Affectionately Brother Samuel Smiley
