Transcript | To John Loyd, Stanford 29 May 1756 Sir: I have three Chests of Arms & four Chests of Tea in Captain Corneys Brigg, Marked W:C:G, which I must request you to take particular care of & have lodged where you think they will be safest. You have enclosed A Letter for Captain John Nealson, Master of the Snow Prince of Wales. She belongs chiefly to him & me. I am not yet certain if she will touch in England. She is bound from Rotterdam to your place, & if she meets no misfortune, I may reasonably expect her early in July. I has her entirely under your care, & as you direct the Captain, he will proceed. I woud by all means advise to have the goods that are on Freight landed as soon as possible. As soon as she arrives, send me an express. But without wailing to hear from me proceed to bussiness. What money you may want let me know as soon as you can, & I shall send it, & I shall do as handsomly for you & your officers as any that has been yet with you. WC |
