Dear Sir:
With this you have Copy of my last by Captain Troy to dublin. The
Johnson, Captain Daniel Cunningham, will certainly be clear to sail for
Liverpool by the 1st July. The cost of our part of the Cargoe in her home
will be about £250 Currency. She will certainly sail by the time I mentioned.
I have taken freight in the Brigg Sea Flower, Le Chavalier Dean
Master, to Hamburgh for Twenty five Tons of Logwood I bought for
our accounts at £9 per ton. She is bound to Hamburg' & will sail about
the 1st July. Shall consign it to Mr. Jacob Bosanquet. If you have
occasion for the proceeds of it. it will be at your disposal, but if you
should not want it, then you can order him to ship the proceeds of it
in Osenbriggs & Coarse Linnens fit for this Market by the return of the
Vessel.* You may write for Insureance on it on receipt of this io Hamburg.
This goes by Captain Sheldon to Rotterdam. I have shiped on our account
by his snow 20 Tons of Logwood & 500 pounds of Sarsaperilla & ordered
Mr. Yzendoorn, to whome it is consigned, to apply the proceeds of it
towards paying himself if he has over shiped anything on our Half of the
Prince of Wales Cargoe, if not to ship the proceeds in Bohea Tea by the
Brigg Brantford.
I leave it to you about ordering Insureance on our Interest in the Johnsons
Cargoe. WC
per the Magog, Capt. Sheldon
