Sir:
We are favoured with yours of the 1st April by the Johnson & are
heartily sorry we can give you no better account of your affairs with
Aspenwall & Doughty. They promise every day to give us an exact
state of your account with them which we hope to get in A day or two but
are much affraid it will be made out so as to run away with the balance they make due you by Out standing Debts.
I cant advise you to a better assortment then the annexed to load your
Vessel out with. Dry goods makes accounts too long A closing. In all
your commands we shall do our utmost to convince you that none can regard
your Interest more.
