Transcript | To Herman Van Yzendoorn, Rotterdam 14 June 1756 Sir: We wrote you 9th Instant io which please be refered. The 12th Instant Captain John Wallace & his Crew arrived here. The Brigg Brant ford & all her Cargoe was lost the 29 April last about six Leagues to the westeard of Cape Florida, for which we are heartily sorry. The owners suffers very considerably. The Captain & Crew saved their lives with great difficulty. We have repeated Alarms with our Custom house officers. They make Seizures almost dayly. We are among the number of the sufferers, as are most of the Merchants in the place. Your goods by Wilkenson are got safe to Philadelphia, & hope to have them sold there to advantage.
