Transcript | To John Gordon & John Calwell, Belfast 17 June 1756 Gentlemen: I have not the pleasure to hear from you since I wrote you by your Snow Lord Russell. I had A Servant taken up that run away from her here. The charges attending finding him out & securing him amounted to £1.1.0, which I have debited you for. I shiped him in the Prince of Wales, & the Master, John Nealson, is to allow me what he is worth which shall be credited you in coarse. The 1st May last, Thomas Greg of your place Enterd into Partnership with me. Our Firm you have below. I take the Liberty to thank you for your past favours & hopes for the continuance to us which we shall always Esteem & observe with the greatest regard to your Interest. There can be no judgement formed yet how the Crop of Flaxseed will turn out. WC, G&C Via Liverpool per Capt. Cunningham |
