Transcript | To Capt. John Nealson, of the Prince of Wales 7 July 1756 Dear Captain: I wrote you fully when in New London to which I have only to add that the aspect of the Dutch Trade is indeed as bad as can be. Such seizures as has been made that few have escaped. I entirely depend upon Mr. Joseph Chew prudent management for the safety of your Vessel & Cargoe. If he finds the risk of Landing your Cargoe in New London too great, he will give you ords1 to proceed to Delaware River. Such directions as you recive from him please follow. I bought from Mr. Beach- what you may bring in returns for the bill he sent with you. He was to much affraid that I chose to make him easy. I would advise you to bring down your Vessel as soon as possible after discharged. WC |
