Transcript | To Robert Callwell, Belfast 14 July 1756 Sir: We are favoured with yours of the 20th & 28th Aprill. The Linnens Messrs. Allen & Marlar shiped & what your Brother shiped are all on hand, & this morning we have a Certain Account War is proclaimed which we hope will Enable us to put them off to advantage. You may depend we shall leave nothing undone to enable us to make you a Remittances Agreeable lo your directions. There are three peices of the old Linnen yett on hand. Your friend very Imprudently has gone up to Oswego. He is in Debt to us very Considerably for your Linnens & other goods. We hope he will Return safe, Otherways it will be a bad affair. Our Army is Marched against Crown point. There will be a Generall Engagement, you may depend upon it before that place is lossed. Our Army Consists of 13,000 Men, yett we Assure you we look upon the Event to be very uncertain, as the French will goe Any lenth to save it. PS. Lord Louden was spoke with about three Weeks agoe.
