| Transcript | To Isaac & Zachary Hope, Rotterdam 16 July 1756 Gentlemen: Our last to you was the 14th past to which refer. We are now favoured with yours of the 8th Aprill by Captain McDonald & have delivered [it] to Captain Wilkenson who is resolved to purchase no Vessel Tor you till he hears from you. In a few days, we shall advise you at what price your goods that was seized is sold at. We Are [in] hopes it will be a favourable sale. We have an Account two [days] agoe that War was proclaimed in England the 18th of May- Now we have A Number of Privateers filing out.
