Transcript | To Capt. Robert Ross, Albany 16 July 1756 Sir: I have the pleasure of your favour of the 11th June, & had I any news worth your notice, you should have heard from me ere this. I must beg leave to trouble you to Receive payment for the two orders enclosed amounting to £73.12.4. Mr. Alexander says he has Settled his accounts with the Army, so you'l have to apply to the person appointed in his place. I would be glad to know if Mr. Disney or the Drawer paid the small bill. When you Receive Cash or there Bills, please to remitt me an Order for them on any Person here. There has severall Vessels spoke with the man of War Lord Louden is in4 Since the two ships parted from her on the Banks of Newfoundland. When she was spoke last, she was so nigh this as to be out of Danger of being met by the French, so hopes in a day or two to have the agreeable news to advise you of his safe arrivall.
