Transcript | To Joseph Chew, [New London, Connecticut] 26 July 1756 Sir: I am favoured with yours of the 21st Instant & observe the Contents. I expect before this Mr. Torrans has got away all the Duck from your place. But shoud it prove Otherwise, you may take what you want of it, & I will make the price agreeable to you. Captain Nealson & me are well convinced of your great care for our Interest. He desires to be remembered to you. Captain Cook has a Brigg now lying here. Pray Charter her for me if you can gett her on the following Conditions & to be Loaded with all Expedition for Cork at £4 Brittish per thousand with Barrel staves & to be discharged in a reasonable time. If he dis not choose to Accept of this Freight, try to Charter to Rotterdam at £4 sterling per tunn free of Primage & averige for Logwood & Nicargo Wood & in proportion for other goods.
