Transcript | To William Snell & Co., London 26 October 1756 Gentlemen: We are favoured with yours of the 6th & 25th May & 8th June & observe their Contents. We are much obliged to you for the information you give us about Publick affairs. We think its well we did not ship the Logwood as the Turn it took with you must have made money lossed on it. WC states the balance of your account as made by you, Credits you for the Muslins, & will remit you a bill on your Selves shortly for the Balance. John moor is Expected soon here which makes WC defer giving you any more Trouble about his affair. We have Twenty Privateers Now Sailed or Clear to Saile from this place & about Ten More fitting out. What Prizes has been brought in here are mostly from Martinico bound to France. Their Cargoes sold for: Sugar 3d to 7d, Cotton 15d to 17d, Coffee 7d to 8d, Cocoa 8d to 9d per pound. If you should see any prospect to purchase any article of Prize goods or indeed any Other, we will be concerned with you to any amounts.
