Transcript | To William Snell & Co., London 12 November 1756 Gentlemen: We wrote you the 26th past of which you have copy annexed. We are now favoured with yours of the 20 August & 14th September & observe the contents. We are pleased you did not ship the India goods we ordered. You may ship them in the Spring & by very first Vessel, adding to them the articles annexed. Leave £100 Sterling & fhe Premium uninsured, the remainder of our Interest have Insured by good Men. If Indigoe or any other articles of Prize goods has a prospect to answer with you, you may expect We shall purchase very largely for our joint accounts. Pray advise us by all opportunitys every turn Prize goods or Logwood may take that we may be able to act in the most prudent manner. Captain Cunningham is not yet arrived. If he should not have touched in tie Isle of Man this Voyage, he will certainly in the Spring. We expect Mr. Rosses answer to your Letter which will govern our proceedings about the Petersburg Voyage. We can't imagine wheat can answer from this to pay the present high Freights. Flaxseed now sells at 6s per Bushel. It will be a bad trade indeed. We heartily wish we could be off shiping, for our Friends must suffer very largely by it. The Schooner Charming Nancy, William Stewart Master, sailed from this for Kingston in Jamaica the 8th Instant. Pray get £100 Sterling Ensured on goods by her to said place & Eighty Pounds Sterling on the Vessel from this to the Bay of Hondoras with liberty to touch in Jamaica to discharge a Cargoe while she stays in the Bay & from that here. As she is a good Vessel, we hope you'l get our Interest covered on very reasonable terms. We have ordered Captain Stewart to remit you what our part of his Cargoe produces, which we expect will be £150 Sterling from Jamaica.
