Transcript | To William Griffiths, Philadelphia 12 November 1756 Sir: I am favoured with yours of the 10th Instant & have waited on all our Flaxseed Merchants who are all engaged & can not give A Freight to your Vessel & yet there is no freight fixed. At the Current freight, I will engage to load your Vessel in a reasonable time with Flaxseed (but the port I will send her to I cant yet Fix) on the Terms that she brings me a full load from Mr. John McMichael Freight free. He will sign a Charter Party with you on these terms. What the freight will be, I cant pretend to say, but I dont think it will be under 20s per Hogshead & may go as high as 25s per Hogshead. You are to have the highest Freight to the Port you go to, & it is to be either Dublin, Belfast, Newry, or Deny. I expect your Answer. WC |
