Transcript | To Curtin & Parker, Kingston, Jamaica 14 November 1756 Gentlemen: We are favoured with yours of the 22nd September & are sory we shiped you Stoddards money before we received your orders for Tallow but are in hopes what we have sent may have turned out as well. The Greg must have arrived with you very shortly after you wrote. We heartily wish you may have either Dispatched her to Europe or here. The Captain we know to be a foolish man, but we hope you have managed him. Rum from your Island is now worth 5/6 per Gallon & in demand. Sugars from the Dutch or Danish Islands are Entered here paying 8s Currency per Hogshead if they are cleared out from them Islands. Its of no consequence where they are made. G&C per Capt. Terry |
