Transcript | To Edward & Isaac Corry, Newry 24 November 1756 Gentlemen: Our Last was the 16th Ultimo by the packet and have now to advise you we have taken freight for your 200 Hogsheads of Flaxseed, which we expect will stand 28/6 Brinish Sterling per Hogshead in the Ship Waddell, Charles Stewart Master, Who will be clear to Sail about 24th December. She is a very good Ship & the Master well acquainted in the Irish Channell. By the imprudence of a Gentleman in the Flaxseed trade, it will be very Disagreeable to us, & we are afraid a very bad one to our Friends, which makes us execute our positive orders with reluctance & defer executing those that are not so. The price of flaxseed is now 5/6 per Bushel. It has been up to 6s, & we Expect it will be that or higher again. The Freight of Flaxseed is not yet Broke. Your's is to be the Current Freight to your Port. Exchange to London, 80 per Cent Wheat, 4s per Bushel Log wood, at £11 per Ton Viartinico Coffee, 8 to 9V; per pound ditto Sugar, 3 10 6 per pound ditto Cotton, 15 to 16 per pound [P.S.] a Barrel of French Indigoe is now at market.
