Transcript | To Robert Carlile, David Carlile, Hugh Hamilton, James Moor & Samuel Townly, Newry 24 November 1756 Gentlemen: Your Esteemed favour of the 13th August to our WC came to hand the 12th Instant. We have taken freight for the Quantity of Flaxseed you order in the Ship Waddell, Charles Stewart Master, Who we expect will be Clear to Sail for your port about the 24th December. She is a good Ship and the Captain well acquainted on the Coast of Ireland. The freight is to be as Customary from this to your Place but What it will break at it is uncertain. Flaxseed is raised much above the value by the imprudence of Some people here. This you may be asured of that your's will be on as Easy terms & as good as any from the place, yet we Don't think it will Stand you Less than 28/6 Sterling per Hogshead. Shall have a particular regard to your orders for Insurance. Exchange to London, 80 per Cent MartinicoCoffee, 8d to 97: d per pound ditto Sugar, 3 to 6 per pound ditto Cotton, 15 to 16 per pound Logwood, at £11 per Ton Wheat, 4s per Bushel Flaxseed, 5/6 per Ditto per the Packet via Philadelphia perCapt.
