Transcript | To Thomas Greg, Belfast 13 December 1756 Dear Sir: With this you have Copys of my last & of Two Letters I received today from Jamaica. I wrote to Messrs. Curtin & Parker to assist Captain Hathorne incase he went there, but he thought proper to lake his own way, which I am affraid will be a very bad one for you & the other Gentlemen concerned in his Cargoe. He writes what is very false about Curtin & Parker, as they are good Men. We shiped by Captain Hathorn some Beef & Pork on our account. Pray make him account with you for it on his arrival at Liverpool. This Evening A large French Prize came in worth about £30,000 [which] has in A large parcel of Indigoe. We can do nothing considerable in these things for want of a sure Friend in London. & I dare not run a risk till that is fixed. I am doing all I can to get away the Johnson, Waddell, & William & George. The first will be loaded by the 20th Instant, the Second by the 24th, & the third about the 6lh January, but I am affraid will be detained a long time after for want of hands.
