Transcript | To Theophilus Thompson, Dublin 31 December 1756 Sir: Our last to you was of the 13lh October to which please be refered. We have taken freight for one Hundred & fifty Hogsheads of Flax seed for Account of you, Mr. William Ellis, & Mr. Edward Sneyd in the Ship Union, James Creathorn Master, who will be clear for Dublin about the 21st January. It will stand you about 28s Brinish per Hogshead which your to govern yourselves by if you see proper to Insure. Prize goods now sells at the annexed prices. We expect they will soon lower considerably. Captain Moor's owners consigned the Vessel to A Gentleman no way concerned in the Flaxseed trade to Ireland, & its A Rule with us that are Principal People in the trade to discourage any Vessels that are sent to others, & we dont doubt but Captain Moors Owners will see their mistake for we believe the most of the Cargoe is for their Accounts. We shall write you fully by Captain Creathorn. G&C per Capt. Moor to Dublin per Capt. Blair |
