Sir:

Incase I should not have the pleasure of seeing you before your
departure, I beg leave to put you in mind of the Qualitys of the Tobacco
I spoke to you oflast night for A tryal, Viz 15 Hogsheads of the very
best Crop Tobacco that can be got, of which let 5 or 6 Hogsheads be
sweet scent not over priced & 10 Hogsheads of your best second growth. This I hope will be an introduction to a lasting correspondence
to which nothing shall be a wanting that is in the power of, Sir, your
Humble Servant, George Trail

Sir:
We beg leave to refer you to the above Letter & desire you may execute
the order on the terms you think most to our Interest & ship it to his
place in the way you think most prudent but do it with Dispatch. The
Amounts you may draw on us for, or if you want any articles that is to
be got here, you may depend upon having them on the best terms. Give
us advice by what Vessel you ship. G&C

P.S. If you want to draw on Philadelphia, you may draw on Messrs. Scott
& McMichael, Merchants there for James Depoyster, Philip Livingston,
& Selves.
