Transcript | To Leggs, Hyde & Co., Belfast 13 January 1757 Gentlemen: We wrote you the 31st past Via Dublin & Newry, to which please be refered. You have now inclosed Invoice & Bill of Lading for Five Casks of best French Prize Indigoe shiped in the William & George, Robert McCalmont Master, amounting to £380.16.8, which please to credit us for. We doubt not you'l find the quality good & as cheap as any from the place. Inclosed you have your account Current with WC, which we hope you'l find right, the balance being £415.10.4 is to your credit with us, keeping you accountable to him for outstanding Debts. We have compleated your order for £1,000 Sterling of French Prize sugars, Part of them Martinico & part of them St. Domingo. We are in hopes they will give great content. You will be able to judge by them which of the Islands produces the best Sugars for your use. We dayly expect lo hear when (he Ross Sailed, or if she comes this way, that we know What to do with your Sugars. She will loss by her Flaxseed Freight, if she dis not come in a few days.
