Transcript | To Haliday & Dunbar, Liverpool 21 January 1757 Gentlemen: We are favoured with yours of the 6th & 8th November Yesterday & observe the contents. Your account shall have credit for the sundry sums you mention if found free of Error, but dont be so exact in Insuring above the amounts of the goods. Leave £100 to £150 Sterling uninsured on every Vessel you ship for us in. WC will examine your Sales & account Current, & if found right will note them as made by you. Your favours of the 25th & 29th September are not yet come to hand. You yet neglected to quote the price of goods. You have our opinion of Mr. Kimble by the Johnson next post. We shall lake the liberty to write him & let you know his answer. We find he has used you ill and shall tell him so. We shall do (he utmost to execute your order for the wheat as soon as the Rivers opens. We expect we shall be able to comply with it & shall hold one half in what ever we ship & keep you duely advised of it. In the mean time, we think it would be prudent you & our Thomas Greg would fix what Market would be most prudent to order what Cargoes we ship to. The Charter Party cant be so very extensive as you mention, but shall certainly fix all the Vessels to touch at Belfast or Derry for Your further orders. Wheat now sells at 4s/6d per Bushel of 58 pounds, but its expected lower. The Snow Johnson got to Sea but the 15th Instant bound to Newry & your place. We wrote you fully by her & Captain McCalmont for Belfast, who got to Sea the 15th Instant. Four Transports & a Fifty Gun Ship arrived from Cork. Its said there is four more below. G&C per Capt.
