Transcript | To Theophilus Thompson, Dublin 24 January 1757 Sir: Our last was the 31st past to which please be refered. We have had very hard Frost for some time past & bad Weather, which las put it out of our power to dispatch Captain C re at horn as soon as we expected. We shall ship you by her a parcel of Flaxseed for our accounts, & would have sbiped some Sugars, but the Captain demanded so high a Freight that we thought proper to defer it, but shall take the first good opportunity. The prices of goods is annexed. Mr. Guizat wrote our TG for a Letter of introduction to us to order Eighty Hogsheads of Flaxseed, but his Letters are not yet come to hand. Least he should be disapointed, we have shiped his seed, as you'l see by the enclosed Letter. If he shoud not choose to take [it], he may be off, so his objections dis not arise from any expectation of a bad Market. In that case, he must keep to it. Please to settle this matter when you deliver the Letter. If he be Honest, a Month or Two will brake no Squares in paying for it. Should he not take it, get the amounts Insured from all risks but the Enemy.
