Transcript | Green Forth March th 20 1804 Dear Brother If thies few lines comes to your hands they will Serve to inform you that We are in good health at present and recieved your Letter safe which I Answered Last year & also Wrote to you our Design of going Last year but we Could not go on this Account that our Crope We Solde and could not get in the Cash because to it was Six Months Credid But I Expect that We Will be Ready in a short time and Will make all possible speed in getting Ready for the Next Ship the passage apears to be very high and every ship on a stint of 36 passengers I believe it may be Eight Guines [guineas] or more[.] Thies few lines I send in care of Thomas Mc Corkle mate of the ship Maria from Derry to New Castle as I Believe he will take care to have them put safe in the post office[.] Sister Jean & Joseph joins with me in Love to you and our Brothers and sister Rebecca Likewise Moses Scott, there is a great bustle in this Kingdom and great preparations for fear of the French Effecting a land[ing] on some of our Castes [coasts] so that Every Man is obledged to take up Arms so God only knows how it May end, this act for arming tooke place After the 23 of July After the Dublin Roit [riot] Where a great Number Loste thier lives and for some Months they have been trying and Hanging What they call Rebels Some fled to France and some to the North and some is still about Wiclow Mountains in great Distress.
