"Thos left on 10th of last month for Pittsburg on foot to try & settle Wm Heazelton's affairs — he went thro' Wilksbarre but only stopped about 2 hours at Uncle Sin tons — Uncles Jo & Jacob & Phebe were at home. Thy
aunt spending the winter with James in Easton — Our timber is hemlock, beech, hard & soft maple, birch, cherry, oak, chesnut, pine, blackbirch & a little elm —."
