Transcript | Dec 13 1822. Uncle Jo’s Den My Dear Anne I wrote thee 3 or four days since which I hope has got safe to hand, & I am got thus far on my way to Pittsburgh. It is not that I have a word of news to tell thee but Phebe & thy Uncle said by all means I shd. write a few lines by this opportunity, were it but to say I am well. I hope thou hast fully forgiven my late silence and that my two letters have made some atonement. If I can possibly manage it I shall attempt to return by your place, but do not depend upon me. My anxiety to see thee is as great as thou could wish it & to see thee comfortably settled would gladden my very heart. I have left Jno at home to keep house till my return, as I had the job last winter. Remember me affectionately to Wm. & believe me thy affect Thos Nicholson |
