Transcript | My Dear Brother We have got through loss and gain [in arithmetic] and we have got about halfway through our definer. We like the book that thee sent us and we have got more than half way through it. James and Ransom have got to be great large fellows and have to do all the chores, for Sam is as lazy as ever. Willy can spell and read well. We took Sam’s sugar-bush on halves and we made about 30 lb our share: this was a bad spring for sugar making. I remain thy affectionate Brother Anson J O'Brien |
