Transcript | Miramichi 15th July [1834] Mr Val Gibbs Dear Sir I am sorry indeed for the disappointment with which you met Col Mr Ferguson And it is with a hope that I moderate your Surprise that I trouble you to read this I have enclosed to you a [brief] of the Articles Sent by Mr Ferguson And also Col Bishop The Meal Ferguson would not take – and the soap was weighed out with the other goods but he went a way & left it White Pea Jackets we have not – but we have now sent Black which I hope may serve – Scotch Caps we have none therefore Cannot Send them Hoping that the disappointment may be Swallowed up in the magnitude of your Astonishment I am Dr Sir Your Obedient [unclear] |
