Transcript | 14 Off Blk. Fri. 27-8-26 Dear: I guess our good angels inspired our two last which, I think, [crossed] each other! [unclear] For countless reasons we ought to be together. Then we are HOME, wherever it may be! Each [with the] only one on earth cares for the other! For the next 2 months I could be there all right as to Climate – but you complain now as you have been complaining of the fierce winters there! And with the greatest reason It would be much better for you here than there, but we could both wind up affairs and go some where a little futher South, where the climate is much milder – yet not too much of a change. I suggested I think you come here till we look around. There is a better Vantage post for such inquiry than N.B. and I would feel like urging you to do this at once. It would be an infinite comfort to me to have you and compare notes with you and that saves Car fare to & fro to F’ton. It’s mail time now. Now it’s time for you to say, taking all things into consideration I await your decision. Let’s lose no time. Fall is At hand! Answer soon Love Chal I’m the lame duck as to funds Now: but I want to tell you I’m going to make a push or two might land me in position in the present political crisis here! In which case your future is settled for we must be together please God! Again Love Chal. And bear in mind your income is half as much again more here than there - 4½ not 3 per ct. C.
