Dear Brother,

I write those few lines to let you to let you know that we are all pretty well at present. I
got your letter a Saturday night. This last few days are pretty fine. I have no news to write to
you this time I expect you got our last letter Friday or Saturday I am sorry to hear of you not
being well. Did you ever get anything for your Stomach Do you think is it what you eat that
hurts your Stomache. Mamma says if you would take a little soda on cold water it might do you
good. Do not take any hard job and you know any I time that you like to come home its alright.
We did not see Ned since there is a track upon the road in. The roads around here are not very
good there is no traveling. I guess they finished smeltfishing a Saturday. Tom I hope you will be
better of your Cold and Johnnie also. We heard that Dan Sullivan is getting pretty well again.
Old Bob didn’t go home yet. I don’t know but he may go home this week, Very bad writing
please excuse it. There is nothing worth writing Jim is sawing away he has about 30 30 men
they say they have got a good cook [damage] I think I will have to bring this letter to a close it’s
a hard looking one all sends their compliments to the both of ye. I remain your truly Bye, Bye
